STAMP Urban Art

Street Art und Graffiti sind weltweit ein unübersehbarer, lebendiger Bestandteil des öffentlichen Raumes. Mit unterschiedlichsten künstlerischen Ansätzen und Techniken gestalten die Künstler*innen ihre Umwelt und hinterlassen ihre Botschaften. Die Künstlergemeinschaft von „getting-up“ kuratierte seit Beginn des STAMP Festivals den Bereich Urban Art: So entstanden temporäre Installationen und Streetart sowie bleibende Murals im Viertel – von Hamburger Künstler*innen sowie internationalen Gästen. Wie jedes Jahr entsteht auch zu dieser Ausgabe an der Wand des Festivalzentrums auf dem Platz der Republik ein neues Kunstwerk.

Street art and graffiti are a prominent, vibrant part of public spaces worldwide. Using a wide variety of artistic approaches and techniques, artists shape their surroundings and leave their messages behind. Since the inception of the STAMP Festival, the “getting-up” artist collective has curated the Urban Art section: This has resulted in temporary installations and street art, as well as permanent murals in the neighborhood—created by artists from Hamburg and international guests. As in previous years, a new artwork will be created on the wall of the festival center on Platz der Republik for this edition.

Die Werke der Urban-Art-Künstler bleiben auch nach STAMP erhalten: Seit 2010 gibt es rund um die Große Bergstraße Urban-Art auf höchstem Niveau zu entdecken.

Urban art objects emerging during STAMP will be preserved. All around Bahnhof Altona high quality urban art objects have existed since the first festival in 2010 as you can see in the list above.
