You’ll never walk alone – Nachtparade

Wer kennt nicht die unglaubliche Kraft des Songs „You’ll never walk alone“, der so eng mit dem Fußball und der besonderen Stimmung im Stadion zusammenhängt und für den Zusammenhalt der jeweiligen Fangemeinde steht.

Eine ähnliche Stimmung wollen wir mit unserer außergewöhnlichen Nachtparade erzeugen, bei der am 8. Juni ab 21:30 Uhr rund 25 lokale, nationale und internationale Gruppen bunt beleuchtet, mit mitreißender Musik, fantasievollen Kostümen, skurrilen Objekten und auf Stelzen durch Altona ziehen. Die Paradenstrecke führt von der Ecke Hospitalstraße/Große Bergstraße bis zum Altonaer Rathaus. 

Den Anfang der Parade bilden 24 überdimensionale, von Menschen bewegte Lichtkugeln, die die Landesfarben der an der EM teilnehmenden Nationen symbolisieren. Das Motto lautet „vom Fußball berührt“ – doch unabhängig von jeglicher Fußballverbindung geht es um ein ausgelassenes und gemeinsames Erlebnis im Stadtteil. Es gilt eindrucksvoll unter Beweis zu stellen, dass niemand allein gehen muss, wenn man zusammenhält.

You all know the incredible power of the song ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, creating team spirit and a special atmosphere in stadions.

We want to create a similar atmosphere at our extraordinary night parade on June 8th, starting at 9:30 pm,  when about 25 local and international groups march through Altona, brightly illuminated, in fancy costume,  accompanied by captivating music and bizarre objects, walking on stilts. The parade starts from the corner of Hospitalstraße/Große Bergstraße and ends at Altonaer Rathaus.

Heading the parade will be 24 oversized light balls in colours symbolizing the national flags of the championship’s participants, set in motion by people. The parade’s motto will be “Moved By Football’, but football aside, this is about an exuberant and collective experience in the neighbourhood. We want to bring across that no one has to walk alone when we stick together.
