Dream up – 24 inszenierte Tore im Stadtteil

Tore bergen ein Geheimnis, öffnen neue Wege und Sichtweisen, lassen ein Blick hinter die Kulissen zu, laden zum Miteinander ein. Ein Tor ist ein Treffpunkt, ein Versammlungsort, eine Stätte zum Jubeln und Feiern. Diese Mehrdeutigkeit greifen wir auf und setzen sie in einer vielfältigen Mischung von Torgestaltungen und Inszenierungen um. Dabei können die Tore unterschiedlichster Art sein: Fußballtore, Eingangstore, Hoftore, Garagentore – all diese werden von verschiedenen Künstler*innen individuell gestaltet und in Szene gesetzt.

All dies geschieht mit einem Fokus auf Teilhabe und Partizipation: Orte und Anwohnende aus dem Viertel, Künstler*innen aus Hamburg und Teilnehmende der Rundgänge werden in diese ortspezifische Inszenierung im Stadtteil auf besondere Weise eingebunden.

Um die Tore zu erleben, werden am 8. und 9. Juni 2024 jeweils zwei Stadtteilrundgänge mit Kopfhörern zu jeweils sechs Toren durchgeführt. Die „Walking Tours“ zeigen einen neuen Blick auf den Stadtteil und binden die Teilnehmenden spielerisch ein. Die Kuration der 24 Tore übernimmt das Künstlerduo von JAJAJA: Arvild Baud und Iris Minich.

In German ‘goal’ has the same meaning as ‘door’. Goals – like doors – have  secrets, open new paths and views, facilitate peeks into back-stage areas, encourage togetherness. A goal is a meeting point, a place for gatherings, for cheer and celebration. We relate to this ambiguity by applying it to varied staged goals and productions. We present an assortment of goals/doors: football goals,entrance doors, yard gates, garage doors. All these will be designed and staged by different artists in their own individual ways.

All are be based on the concept of participation: places and residents in this part of town, artists from Hamburg and the participants of our topical walks will be involved in these location-specific productions in special ways.

In order to get in touch with these goals/doors we offer two walks each on June 8th and 9th, June 2024, equipped with audio guides, to six goals/doors each. These walking tours offer new perspectives and involve its participants in a playful way.

Curators of the 24 goals/doors are the artist duo JAJAJA: Arvild Baud and Iris Minich.
