Die Coronapandemie-bedingte Absage des STAMP Festivals 2020 und des damit verbundenen swapLAB*1 hat uns genauso unvorbereitet und überraschend getroffen wie viele andere. Wir steckten mitten in den Vorbereitungen für das internationale Workshopwochenende mit 30 jungen Künstler*innen in Hamburg und freuten uns auf einen kreativen Austausch über Ländergrenzen und Genre hinweg.

Wir haben die Zeit genutzt und unsere jungen Teilnehmer*innen gebeten, uns eine virtuelle Arbeit zu schicken. Die Frage lautet: Was bedeutet für dich LIBERTY? Was steht hinter dem Freiheitsbegriff und welchen Einfluss haben die turbulenten Zeiten (Politik, Gesundheit und Gesellschaft in rasanter Schieflage!) auf den LIBERTY-Gedanken?

In einer Europakarte sammeln wir diese Statements. Sie zeigen euch auch, woher unsere Künstler*innen kommen und uns ihre Beiträge schicken. 

The cancellation of the STAMP Festival 2020 and the associated swapLAB*1 due to the corona pandemic has caught us as unprepared and surprised as many others. We were in the middle of the preparations for the international workshop weekend with 30 young artists in Hamburg and were looking forward to a creative exchange across borders and genres.

We used the time to ask our young participants to send us a virtual work. The question is: what does LIBERTY mean to you? What is behind the concept of freedom and what influence do the turbulent times (politics, health and society in rapid disarray!) have on the idea of LIBERTY?
